Construction of apartments for young scientists started today
Construction of apartments for young scientists in the New Belgrade University block 32 was officially marked with the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, Minister of Education and Science Zarko Obradovic and Rector of Belgrade University, Prof. Dr. Branko Kovacevic.

The project is the continuation of the existing project for the University block after a long break, due to a lack of funds. The total area of the building constructed is ​​15,950 m² , whilst the completion is scheduled for February 2013.

Among the future tenants there are 21 employees at the University of Belgrade, four Faculties of Arts and Cultural Institutes and 14 research institutes.

Djelic, Obradovic and Kovacevic agreed that the construction of apartments for young scientists is a strong message to all young researchers that it is worth staying in Serbia.

The project is financed by the Central Council of Europe Development Bank with the amount of 6.7 million before tax.
