A Blade server has been purchased, delivered and installed as part of the Project of purchase of highly specialized scientific equipment. In addition, training has been completed for the users.

The equipment has been delivered to the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad and has been approved under the scientific project of integral and interdisciplinary research number III42004.

This server will be used to develop new software for optimized control of electro distribution systems. Smart management of power distribution by using open meter systems (OMS) and advanced distribution managements systems (ADMS) leads to full usage of all generated power as well as distribution of power towards users who need it the most at any given moment. It is estimated that about 20-30% of all electric power is wasted, and smart management of this power can generate savings of about 30 MW. Besides development of new systems, this equipment will be used to train engineers for using these complex algorithms for management of power systems.
