Vrnjačka Banja: Keys to 20 apartments handed over to refugee families

In Vrnjačka Banja, the keys to 20 newly built apartments intended for refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia were handed over. The apartments were built within the framework of the eighth sub-project of the Regional Housing Program.

The total gross area of the building in Vrnjačka Banja is 1,053 square meters, and the value of the works amounted to 560,301 euros. Construction took about a year, and the occupancy permit was issued on April 26 of the current year.

Within the framework of the Regional Housing Program, a total of 6,972 housing solutions have been allocated to beneficiaries so far.

The Regional Housing Programme is a joint multi-year programme of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, which aims to provide durable housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region.

The programme is supported by the OSCE and UNHCR and is funded by the European Union, the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
