First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic visited the works on the reconstruction of the Technical School in Požega, which, in accordance with the Ministry's plans, will grow into a regional training center for dual and non-formal education.

This school will be one of 12 regional training centers for dual and non-formal education in various fields of work and activities.

The tour of the works was also attended by the President of the Municipality of Požega, Djordje Nikitović, Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade, Dušan Kovačević, and the Director of the Technical School of Požega, Zoran Jotić.

"The project, for which we have allocated 65 million dinars from the budget, is of great importance for the school and the region. This school is the only one accredited for adult education in this area and with its work and engagement it goes beyond the framework of the municipality and positions itself as a center at the regional level", said the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ružić.

Minister Ružić said that the first six centers for dual and non-formal education are already being worked on, and these are, in addition to Požega, centers in Valjevo, Subotica, Vlasotince, Šabac and the Aviation Academy in Belgrade.

"In cooperation with the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit, we are investing a total of EUR 4.6 million in the reconstruction, construction and equipping of the first six centers," said the Minister.

The deadline for the completion of works on the reconstruction of the first phase of the Technical School Požega is 120 days.
