Apartments handed over to refugee families in Kulpin

Six refugee families in Kulpin have been given the keys to their new apartments, thus permanently resolving their housing issue. The apartments are intended for rent and purchase.

"It is a pleasure when you are engaged in public business and participate in such an important project that takes care of families who have fled from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. I wish you a successful start to a new life and that you never have to forcibly leave your homes again," said the Head of the Office of the Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit, Jovan Lazarov.

The construction of apartments with a total gross area of about 288 square meters is part of the eighth sub-project of the Regional Housing Program.

The Regional Housing Programme is a joint multi-year programme of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, which aims to provide durable housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region.

It is implemented with the support of the OSCE, UNHCR and the Council of Europe Development Bank, and is financed by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
