Basic information about JUP

On December 30, 2016, the Government of the Republic of Serbia passed the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Establishment of a Limited Liability Company for the Management of the Research and Development Project in the Public Sector, on the basis of which the Company is enabled to manage other projects entrusted to it by international contract, law, founder's act or contract concluded with users of public funds, financing of projects, deadlines for implementation, method of reporting, public procurements that need to be carried out and the method of their implementation.

The company operates under a new business name - The limited liability company Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Belgrade or abbreviated “Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit” Ltd. Belgrade .

The amendment of the founding act provides the Company with the opportunity to work on projects from various fields.

The Company now performs its activities for an indefinite period of time, while the description of the Company's activities is expanding to include: the provision of consulting services, management and professional supervision.

The company also performs tasks related to the implementation of the national part of the Joint Regional Program on durable solutions for refugees, which relate to the preparation of technical and tender documentation, the implementation of public procurement procedures, contracting, internal control, financial and accounting services, monitoring and reporting, and the provision of other specialized services necessary for the implementation of the national part of that regional program.

The company can also perform other activities, including foreign trade operations and services in foreign trade operations within the framework of its activities, in accordance with the law and the Decision on Establishment.   As part of the performance of its activities, the company acquires funds from income generated by the performance of activities, financial loans, donations and aid, the budget of the Republic of Serbia and other sources in accordance with the law.  The company operates with state-owned assets.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia issued a Decision on the appointment of the Acting General Manager of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade 24, Number: 119-12384/2019 dated December 12, 2019.

Acting General Manager of the Company is Dušan Kovačević, Master of Economics.
