In Stara Pazova, 29 contracts for the delivery of packages of construction materials were handed over to refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, residing in the territory of this municipality.
The value of an individual package of building materials ranges from 4,500 to 9,000 euros. The aid is non-refundable and provides material that is necessary for the adaptation of the house and thus for the improvement of the basic living and housing conditions of refugee families.
"By installing the materials, you will get the decent home you deserve, and start a new stage in life. I would like to thank you for your perseverance, patience and perseverance, because the previous period was not easy for all of you", said the Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade, Dušan Kovačević.
The Regional Housing Programme is a joint multi-year programme of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, which aims to provide durable housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region.
It is implemented with the support of the OSCE, UNHCR and the Council of Europe Development Bank, and is financed by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
