Indjija : Contracts for the delivery of construction materials

Eleven refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia residing in the territory of the municipality of Indjija received contracts for the delivery of construction materials, as part of the ninth sub-project of the Regional Housing Program.

"It is the responsibility of our state to do everything to make the life of refugees, which is undoubtedly difficult, better and safer. The award of the contract for the delivery of construction materials is the result of joint work in order to take care of the most vulnerable in the territory of the Republic of Serbia," said the Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade, Dušan Kovačević.

The value of an individual package of building materials ranges from 4,500 to 9,000 euros. The aid is non-refundable and the materials necessary for the adaptation of unfinished buildings are awarded.

The Regional Housing Programme is a joint multi-year programme of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, which aims to provide durable housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region.

It is implemented with the support of the OSCE, UNHCR and the Council of Europe Development Bank, and is financed by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
