Public Sector Research and Development
The Research and Development in the Public Sector project aims to improve scientific and technological infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia. The project promoter is the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation (formerly the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development). The Public Enterprise is the project’s implementing unit and carries out professional supervision.
Within the project, the PIU manages projects related to the construction of scientific infrastructure and the procurement of capital equipment and consumables. The PIU handles tasks related to the preparation of technical and tender documentation, conducting public procurement procedures (domestic and international), contracting, financial and accounting services, monitoring and reporting, and providing other specialized services necessary for the project's implementation.
The project is financed by a loan from the European Investment Bank and the Council of Europe Development Bank.
