A further 30 homes have been allocated to refugee families in Loznica.

In Loznica, the keys to 30 apartments were handed over to refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. The apartments were built within the framework of the Regional Housing Program in the Republic of Serbia.

Funds for the construction of apartments were provided from the donor Fund of the Regional Housing Program, while the land and infrastructure were provided by the City of Loznica.

The award ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Slavica Jeleča, Assistant Mayor Ljubinko Đokić, Head of the Cabinet of the Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade Jovan Lazarov and Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Vladimir Cucic

"Serbia has gained a lot with your arrival, the arrival of young and hardworking people. And now we are all on the defender of our homeland called Serbia and we have no other country, we have to fight together to defend it. The most important thing for every man is to solve the housing issue and you have achieved it. I wish you all the happiness, health and happy moving in," said the Head of the Office of the Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd. Belgrade, Jovan Lazarov.

A total of 120 refugee families were taken care of in Loznica as part of the housing allocation component.
The Regional Housing Programme is a joint multi-year programme of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, which aims to provide durable housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region.

It is supported by the OSCE, UNHCR and the Council of Europe Development Bank, and is funded by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
