Six refugee families in Kučevo received the keys to their new apartments, built as part of the Regional Housing Program.
The total value of the construction of apartments in Kučevo is about 207,607 euros.
"We have worked hard and in the previous period we have made happy and moved users in Kruševac, Loznica, Čajetina. Today we are in Kučevo. And our story continues until all the most vulnerable refugee families from Bosnia and Herzegovina are permanently secured." said the Director of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit, Dušan Kovačević.
The apartments are designed for social housing in protected conditions.
The Regional Housing Programme is a joint multi-year programme of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, which aims to provide durable housing solutions for the most vulnerable refugee families in the region.
It is implemented with the support of the OSCE, UNHCR and the Council of Europe Development Bank, and is financed by the European Union, which is also the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Spain, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
