Highly specialized equipment delivered to Medical Faculty
An ABI 3500 Genetic Analyzer Capillary Electrophoresis System has been purchased, delivered and installed as part of the Project of purchase of highly specialized scientific equipment. In addition, training has been completed for the users.

The equipment has been delivered to the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade and has been approved under the scientific project of basic research number 175090.

This latest device for genetic analysis is an 8-capillary electrophoresis system which is fully automated, from polymer identification and replacement, to DNA separation, detection and data analysis. The integrated software which controls data collection and quality, enables the device to do sequencing and fragment analysis on the same plate. This piece of equipment will help the research team in identifying clinical, morphological and molecular/genetic correlations in various neurodegenerative diseases.

The device is available to the entire research community through the following link: https://ris.piu.rs/opremapregled
